Training your customer service agents is magnanimous for your business. You cannot expect your service agents to do an amazing job and bring you immense business from the beginning. You will have to work with them for some time, and give them proper training before you ask them to bring results.
The good thing is that you will not have to pay some expensive coach hundreds of dollars. Some simple training exercises will be enough for your employees. However, before you do that, you will need to set your priorities right. First of all, you need to decide upon why you need customer care training. Most of the companies will say that they need it. However, no one thinks that why do the employees need this training? Therefore, your first real exercise is to think about what your company will get out of this training and what your employees need from these training sessions.
After that, you will have to define your limits. You cannot just go to any coach and ask him to train your employees. There are different modules and courses that will cover different basis of your customer experience. Monitor the activities of your employees and see what they are lacking. Only after that, you should get some coaching sessions paid. If you hire a coach for complete training exercises then you have to pay some huge bills.
If you do not want to spend any money on the training then you can take matters into your own hands. You can train your employees by giving them daily exercises. You can start with role playing exercises that will enhance the communication skills and deductive skills of your employees. After that, you can start with their problem solving skills and once you are done with that you can buff up their patience.
